Help: For our Bloomin Bonanza craft this year there are a few things I will need donated, if you have these things or your aunt or brother or neighbor or anyone.. 😁have these things, that they would be willing to donate, I would be eternally grateful....  
~If you have mason jars (small, medium, and large) I could use them, at least one per kid, but the more the merrier and then the more money we will make for St.Ed's!  
~I need fun spring printed fabric or whatever you or grandma may have scraps of!  
~I am also looking for orange cupcake liners small and normal cupcake sizes!
~Paper straws green and white ( target and walmart carry them!)

Reading: We are working in small groups on short easy to follow stories.  And matching the pictures with the words.  We will be continuing this, but will now be sending this home as well!  They will be reading a guided reading book here at school and then will bring it home in their black reading bag.  There will be a form in the bag as well, please initial each time you read and give me feedback on how they did- was is easy, just right, or too hard!

We are now starting to read books that have quotation marks an new punctuation like question marks- work with your child on reading these words with expression and reading the question sentences with a questioning tone!  

Fundations / Spelling:  We will be working on sentence structure and punctuation.  We will be learning how to identify rhyming words and will be diving into capital letters! Also working on identifying beginning, middle and ending sounds of words!

Writing: We are continuing to work on labeling our drawings!  Sounding out each word!  And we will be focusing on writing sentences and making sure that we use the lessons learned in Fundations and have the first letter in each sentence is a capital letter and that we finish with the appropriate punctuation.

Math: Unit 5! We are getting better at our adding and subtracting!  We are also reviewing math mountains, greater than/less than, and equal to or not equal to.

Religion: We will be learning about the Stations of the Cross and how we can correlate each station with a life lesson! Lent will also be a topic of discussion and learning these next few weeks.

Social Studies/Science: We are finishing up our family unit this week and will be transitioning into our flag!

Social Studies/Science: We will be learning about the Ocean as we had many days off and didn't get to it the last couple weeks and then we will move on to learning about Germs.

Social Studies/Science: We will be learning about the difference between Needs and Wants.  This is a perfect unit to have right before Christmas!
